Today we will look at the freebase eliquid line-up from Cloud Niners by Vape Sauce. Vape Sauce and are one of the oldest and largest brands from Malaysia that have spread their wings to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and most other Asian vaping countries. We will look at each flavor from their Cloud Niners brand and disregard their product descriptions to get a better idea of the flavor profile of each type.
For their freebase nicotine line, im testing this on a dripper tank firing at 0.3ohms @ ~45watts.
1. Cloud Niners Creamy Mango (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
Low sweetness with low throat hit and ripe mango taste. Without being disgustingly sweet, you can taste juicy, fleshy yellow mango with a nice aroma. The mango is quite typical you get with many Malaysian mango flavor. The creamy note to this is more of a yogurt flavor, and not a milky flavor. No cooling note on the throat.
2. Cloud Niners Creamy Strawberry (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
Wow! It tastes like strawberries blended with yogurt. Like taking a dollop of strawberry jam and blending it in with some yogurt. The yogurt isn’t sour, just nice and creamy. Low throat hit and low sweetness level with zero cooling. Am loving the creaminess on the exhale - it’s really soft and i feel like biting the clouds.
3. Cloud Niners Creamy Lychee (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
The aroma of lychee in this blend is super exotic and aromatic. Much better than any lychee I’ve ever tasted. The taste is a little herbaceous and floral and will transport you to Malaysia for sure. Comparable to something like rose water, where the flavors are floral and ‘foreign’ for sure. Definitely one for the adventurous vaper and uniquely asian in taste. Low throat hit.
4. Cloud Niners Pina colada (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
You definitely get the full taste of pineapples on the first puff. No sharp or throat tingling sensation (thank god). The coconut is nice and creamy and a little toasted. A great blend just like the drink! My favourite for sure because the taste is unique yet easily identifiable. Sweetness is kept in check and pretty low.
5. Cloud Niners Creamy melon (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
Honeydew for weeks. Soft, cushiony pillows of honeydew. I don’t detect any yogurt in this and cannot pinpoint where the creaminess is coming from. But I know it has a strong creamy characteristic. No vanilla. Just creamy. Sweetness level in this is also low. The aroma of honeydew is more than the taste itself.
6. Cloud Niners Cookies (30PG/70VG, 3mg)
On the first puff, I’m tasting mild chocolate and hints of vanilla flavor. But the creaminess is more like cookie dough and not crunchy cookies where you have hints of biscuit flavor. The cookie isn’t crunchy and i’m disappointed that the cookie flavor isn’t as crumbly or obvious as id like it to be.
Cloud Niners Nicotine Salt Line-up
For 2019, Cloud Niners has also launched their nicotine salts for the Malaysian market. Here we look at 4 flavors of their new nicotine salt collection. Now we look at the Nicotine Salt’s that Cloud Niners has to offer. Im testing each nicotine salt flavor on a Mipod device on a fresh cartridge. Just remember that depending on your chosen pod device, the flavor intensity can feel remarkably different.
7. Cloud Niners Mango Salt Nic (50PG/50VG, 30mg)
The mango flavor tastes just like their creamy mango flavor. Nothing very interesting for me. The creamy note is also missing and taste more like simple mangoes. Smooth vaping experience.
8. Cloud Niners Strawberry Salt Nic (50PG/50VG, 30mg)
OK this has some wow factor to it thanks to their great blend of strawberries. They manage to pull it off without the strawberries tasting grossly artificial and annoyingly synthetic. Well done Vape Sauce. Very smooth with little harshness but you do get your kick of nicotine fast.
9. Cloud Niners Pineapple Salt Nic (50PG/50VG, 30mg)
Love this pineapple flavor. Its fresh and juicy. The taste is stronger and more enjoyable in my opinion than their mango. Love the aroma i get on the exhale. No issues with the smoothness and no annoying tingling sensation.
10. Cloud Niners Tobacco Apple Salt Nic (50PG/50VG, 30mg)
Ok to be upfront, i’m not a huge fan of tobacco flavors. For me, this taste like maybe 80% green apples and 20% tobacco. I don’t mind it, but it’s just that the tobacco flavor leaves my mouth feeling somewhat dry. The aroma of tobacco is definitely there. I know of some of my vaping friends that love tobacco and are into the different types of tobacco flavor but unfortunately, i’m not one of them. The tobacco here isn’t offensive and thankfully does not taste like cigarettes is all I am willing to say!
